Jumbo Giants U7 kicked off their term with a hard-fought game against Dazzle FC.
The game started pretty balanced, with both sides testing each other early. Dazzle FC scored the only goal goal in the first half after scoring from a quick counter attack.
The second half was more lively as the game opened up and both teams went at each other. Dazzle FC came out on top with two goals in quick succession to extend their lead.

Jumbo Giants kept pushing and got their reward when Kayowa scored a consolation goal with a magnificent solo run, dribbling past the defense and slotting it past the keeper.
Player’s Word
“It felt really nice to be back on the pitch. I am really proud of my team and myself. I felt what it was to be a leader and it felt really good being one of the leaders on the field today. Going into the next match we have to be more technical and clinical to ensure we win.” – Esa
Coach’s Word
“The kids showed hustling spirit today. Though we lost, they never gave up throughout the match. We hope parents can bring their kids out more for matches like this. Esa led the team today like a true leader, I was extremely proud of him. Kayowa is another name that comes to mind for today’s performance, He was wonderful and he topped the performance with a goal. Our target now is to go back and build more chemistry between the kids and win the next game.”

Takeaway
A loss, but plenty to be proud of. The U7s showed fight, hustle, and individual moments of quality. With more chemistry and training, the next game looks promising.
Well played, U7s. Back to work.
